It seems like tension is rising between Jake and I. Small arguments about the dishes, etc are escalating to where Jake is yelling nonsense.

I am trying to take it with stride, but there are so many small annoyances that one experiences with someone like Jake. He is arrogant in almost all senses of the word - his actions are always justified by some sort of BS that he makes up. For example, from the dish argument this morning:

Me: We should have a reference counting for dishes, so that each person has a single dish from each catagory and then keeps track of it.
Jake: That is stupid.
Me: why?
Jake: Because dishes need to dry out for a while so that bacteria doesnt grow on them.

Personally, I couldn't make the leap.
