6/13/2003 06:26:36 PM|||Travis||| First day at the Radisson. I filled out ten forms or so, that discussed how I gave up the right to trial by jury if I decide to take legal action against the hotel, how my employment status can be terminated at any time without any cause, and the benefits I could recieve if I work here long enough. These include a medical and dental plan, along with a 401K and discounts for food and hotels. All in all, not too shabby.
I jumped into the pool today for the first time- damn that is a workout. I got some googles and a funky looking swim cap (to keep the chlorine out of my hair) and played around for a half hour in the water. I really don't know what I am doing and am still a little uncomfortable in the water. Hopefully it will change in time, I think that swimming offers the best time/workout intesity ratio as it works the entire body in a low-stress environment. And I worked on my tan at the same time :)
Had some fun at the bars last night with some girls. I did about three approaches and used some decent tatics, including the questions game. The best thing I did was the back turn- this is pure money. What you do is wait until they want to tell you something (this particular girl was asking if it was OK that she was leaning on me) and say "whatever" like you are totally uninterested and then turn away. She will grab your sholder and say "hey..." everytime. Works like a charm, and then you have turned the tables to where she is chasing you, as you are somewhat annoyed and she is trying to please/supplicate to you. Much better frame of mind to be in while talking to girls, as if you don't do this you are lost for the most part.
And women were so much easier in Montana... CA chicks require advanced tatics. Nothing I can't handle though ; D|||105555399685781966|||
