I have found the ultimate workout- swimming. I now can actually appreciate professional swimmers as it is quite intense.

First off, you are submerged in water. Yes, of course it is intuituve, but think about it. Water sucks. If you breathe it, your screwed, and it is all around you.

So the first couple times in the water you have to become one with the water. This process involves numerous wet inhilations, and a horrid clorine taste that won't leave.

But the body appreciates all of its muscles being worked in unison, burning more calories per time period than any other workout that I know of.

It leaves you a bit tired though which *could* have an impact on anything you have to do (like writing this).
