Feeling good today.

Although the sugars ran high in the afternoon. It wasn't that great to test in at 280 after working out (which usually should lower my sugar) but.. what can you do. Perhaps the west nile virus that I am harboring in my body is raising my sugar levels (most sicknesses do. In fact, its an indicator that only diabetics have), that or its Ebola. Whatever it is, Amoxicilin is slowly kicking its little bacteria ass, and I soon I will be strong like a frieght train once again.

Low carb diets are taking over, and people are capitalizing on the nutritional craze. It seems that the country is going to move from low-fat, to low-carb. I believe that its all for the better. No matter what the scientists latest research supposedly demonstrates, low-carb diets root deeply in evolution, as our bodies never evolved to eat grains (which are a relatively new invention).

I just read an article in some newspaper about a new low-carb franchise that is catching on. Similar stories are told by the store owners- they lost tons of wieght with the diet and slowly convinced their friends to try it as well. Then they opened up a store to capitalize on the new trend. Then they started a national franchise.

I was just thinking about an entirely no-carb resturant, but it seems like that is starting as well. I'll I can say, is that it will be great once I can get relatively quick, good, low-carb food.

Another idea I have been throwing around is for the UCSB Business Plan competition for 2004. The winner gets, as always, 10 grand. Thats a nice chunk of change. But oh yea, the idea.

So I see that peer-to-peer streaming could be the next big wave to distribute real-time content. It seems that recent research is getting virtual multi-cast working so that you can distribute real-time video to thousands with only a server or two. Each participate becomes a node in the network and is used to forward the data on to other people. Now you need two more things to make this work correctly. 1- you need content that is new and fresh. This is where we need a small scale TV production crew that makes some good shows. There is already people like this in IV, and many more that aspire to get into the film industry. This could be the way to let them in. Then we create a brand around IV that distributes the new shows.. such as the IV dating show perhaps, and even IV TV (if the guy wants to come back). Then we start up the network.

Thinking this through.... its going to take tons of content. Way more than we have now (which is.. uhhh none). Shows have to be running most of the day, with an exception from 3 - 10 am, when everyone is alseep anyways. The question is- could we get people to start watching TV on their computers? Do they all have a high-speed connection? Are all aliens from Sirus?

Hmmm, its always good to get ideas out there, where they are exposed. Keeping everything internal makes everything feel better than it really is.

So, yea. That idea doesn't sound as great as it thinks.
