Cloudy day today.

So I sent in a post yesterday, but it was lost. And this sucks, because it was a good post and blogger ate it. I misclicked on the "template" button, when I was trying to get to the Post and Publish button. Then my entire post was lost. Grrrr.....

Interesting time in the bar last night. The hotel was pretty full, so business was good. No weddings came in though, so I wasn't THAT lucky. It was good to get home somewhat early and jump in my nice, warm fluffy bed. Which still sounds inviting now, I must admit, but duty calls. I have to help save the world by making the Vitamin D website with my Dad.

So I met this old guy in my bar a while back, and we have become pretty good pals. We always compain about how silly the management is, how they should pour a stiffer drink, and why we need some cute cocktail waitresses running around the place. The only thing I knew about him was that he was bisexual, and often ofended the other male bartenders with crude sexual comments. I could handle that, so I didn't even notice it when he did- just laughed along with him. But tonight he started to go off about his life, which is insanely interesting. It might have been spurned by my going off about my family's history for some reason to this writer dude, a semi-regular that I like. I digress.

So this old man ( he is 82) has been in a couple of movies, and his father owned a motion picture company. He met tons of stars growing up, including Maryln Monroe, Mae West, and countless other old actors. Since he has lived in Santa Barbara for all his life, he knew all the wealth living here and all the wealth down in Hollywood and Los Angeles. He has litterly watched the city grow from 3,000 people to what it is today- home of mulit-million dollar estates with actors running around left and right.

This old man is still connected to the hollywood scene in many ways, and is probably going to go on the Leno show in a couple months. He just had dinner with Leno not too long ago, so they are pretty decent buds. I wonder who else he knows.

He also invited me to go get dinner sometime with him, perhaps I will entertain the offer.
