ANd time keeps on rolling.

Well no Nexus article today. It was a late, loud club that took center stage in my life last night down in LA. It was the sterotypical opening of an extremely hot club, with one of the most recognized DJ in the world, Paul Oakenfold (that statement is up for debate). Needless to say, the line was a mess and I had to turn myself into a human knife and cutt through the crowd to get in (along with paying a ridiculous amount of money).

The speaker system was good, and by good what I mean is this: If you stand in the middle of the club, the bass can sometimes knock the air right out of your lungs. Your ears are, of course, perminatley damaged if you didn't bring ear plugs (which we didn't. What was that? Were you talking? I can still hear nothing but a dull ring...)

But the music kickin' and the beats were lickin' and I was thinking about stickin'.

What, did I just write? Perhaps I will become a rap artist now. Or perhaps I will analyize what the hell I should do with my life in light of reading the autobiography about my new hero- Richard Branson.

He is the guy who started Virgin, which is a record label, an airway and cola, among other things. I read an article about his island in the Caribean, and had to learn more. So I read his book, and it changed me.

At the age of 16 this guy was running a national magazine out of his friends' parents basement. He dropped out of high school. The company was a commune where all profits were put into a tin can and anyone working for the company (which were all teenagers) could take out to buy food or dope. It was about a dozen hippies doing something cool during the hieght of the sixties, while enjoying free sex. It sounded grand.

Then he moved into records and became successful there.. then airlines, all off of a whim. It seems that his greatest ability is to convince people of his ambitious goals. He is a dreamer that can make things happen. A magic man.

And I want to be a magician. I want to make shit happen. I just watched a street magician last night, and wanted to yell (ok, well not yell.. maybe just say) that it doesn't matter that magic is "fake". The brillance is in the magicians' ability to suspend your disbelif. His magic is "real" because he can convince you that it is...

I remember certain times in my life when I was convincing. I have the gift of rap, I can be persuasive if I put my mind to it. And Gnositc really needs someone to make something happen for them right now. We need some momentum. And some money.

But what else is on the Horizon? School, is as always, annoying. Richard Branson dropped out at age 17 to start his magazine.... No, BAD TRAVIS.

I will soon become a bartender at the fanciest resort in SB called the Bacara. It has potential to eat up some of my nights, but also could make me some money, which I like.

Also, I need to work on my seduction skills. For some reason, I think that if I was able to close the deal with women, I would also be able to close the business deal with more men. It seems that the two are closely connected.

So I really see four seperate things here. School, Seduction, Gnostic and Bartending. In a perfect world, I would eliminate school and bartending. School is just going to get me into debt and give me a piece of paper saying that I am smart, bartending is just going to make me relatively small amounts of money to pay the bills. Gnostic is my means to long term financial gain (even if I use it just to launch my business career) and Seduction is the direct application of persuasive techniques to get what you want. It applies to business and womanizing, both of which I find extremely facinating.

But alas.... I haven't the will to give the world the finger and shove off in my own direction.

Yet.
