Just keep writing.

Long day today. I left my house in the early morning, when the sun was but a small smudge on the horizon. I rode my bike to school and couldn't help but notice a slight vertical increase in the road. Not large enough to percieve with the eye, this slant causes considerble pain while trying to maintain your current speed.

You wonder to yourself- why the hell is it so hard to pedal? And as everything starts to slow down, and the legs start to ache ever to slightly, you realize this insideous slant in the road that is causing the pain.

By the time I got home, it was dark out. Mist had pretty much covered any star or moonlight, leaving everything looking pretty flat. But when I hit the slant, things worked in my favor. With little effort, I propelled myself along at maximum speed, marveling at the rate at which the scenery was flying by. My road bike is a great connection to the road, and sometimes when I really get going it is almost as if each long cycle is really just a large stride.

Well, the new policy is to just write. Doesn't matter about what, topics are sure to drift in and out. The important thing is to keep it coming. I see the problem that I have being a catch 22- there are things that I am not doing becuase I feel bad (writing, working out, etc) and I think that I can only do them once I feel better. The new strategy is to just start doing the things I do when I am in a good mood, and things will surely start to work themselves out.

My programming assignment was completed ahead of schedule today, for a change. What a relief it was to get everything working, and to be able to sit back and do nothing. Then rest.

Ahhh.
