Havent had coffee for over four days after a period where I would drink up to five cups a day, two of them from a french drip machine which is much stronger and keeps all the oils. It was causing health problems, so what did I do? I fasted for two days (ok, so I broke on the first day and had to eat something because my stomach hurt) and then ate only healthy veggies and quality protein. No aspartane, no artificial crap and no caffiene. Lots of peanut butter as well... way too much peanut butter. So much, that once my throat got all clogged up and I thought I was going to die until I drank a cup of water to clear everything up.
I wonder how much muscle mass detoriated while I fasted. Or how much fat, if any. I justified it as healthy, because prehistoric man undoubtably had to fast when there was no food, so our bodies probably developed around this paradigm. Getting food all the time probably isn't what our bodies are designed to handle, so a water fast allows your body to clear out lots of that crap that piles up over time.
Or so the health crack-pots would like you to believe.
Socially, I am starting to regain confidence. I am planning on going downtown tonight, and because I don't want to be around any chumps, I will probably have to go by myself. It sucks, but I only know one guy that I could learn good solid game from, and my main focus when I "go out" is studying how to become a social elitist. I want IN to that A-Crowd. I want to be able to fearlessly approach anyone and control the conversations using pre-determined tactics. Its like a game of chess, really.
And having people that tag along that don't understand this is a huge hamper to learning how it all works, because they think that it all revolves around lots of alchohol and luck.
Screw that.
Its a social science and should be evaluated as such. There are evolutionary underpinnings for most social behaviour, but the only way to really see how it all works is to go out and study it. And so it goes.
On another "society is screwed up" note, I went to the technical career fair, and wondered how useful these things really are for students. I mean, here is a situation where supply and demand is NOT working in your favor. About twenty companies are screening hunreds of students who want to work for them. Who has the power? Its insane. I didn't even want to go and talk to any of them, which is the only real benefit that you get- personal contact. But you probably are not talking to the person that will make the decision and can only make so much of an inpact, expecially when there are HUNDREDS of other people that the employers have talked to.
If I were to seek employment, I would first do research and find out the best company that I would want to work for, that is in a good market with tons of potential, is relativly small (so I can help grow it), and is interested in hiring ME. That flips the tables so to speak, so that they are vying for you rather than the other way around.
Most people that I know now have gotten jobs soley through their network of people. Through a friend of a friend they hear that someone is hiring and then they get that connection. Then the employer can feel slightly closer to the person because they know them, even if it is a couple degrees away.
Caffinee is my enemy.|||106876475233257892|||
