Met up with a buddy I met online on Wednesday night to go sarge in downtown Santa Barbara. Its the second time I have met up with this guy with the sole purpose of hitting on girls, and the second time that not much has happened. It was comepletely DEAD though, without any targets. At all. Well, ok, maybe one. But we didn't even approach, just sat next to them without talking. It was pretty bad, as far as hitting on girls goes becuase we didn't even do it.
Justification came later after the beer kicked in. Aparently we didn't talk to them because they were not that hot, and becuase we don't like to get negged by not-hot chicks with large asses.
I was hoping on talking to five girls at least, but instead, not even one. There was some chit-chat with a couple of clerks, but that is it. I think I need a new wingman, the one I was with was crimpin' my style.
So its tax time for Gnostic Labs. Its amazing to think that we have been in operation since late 2001, so a little over two years. 2003 will be the first year where we have an entire twelve months of financial history to reconcile and to tax the apporpriate people. All of the contractors are going to get it, and since they are not employees, I am sure they are going to enjoy getting hit with social security. Yep, 1099's are fun for everyone, except for us, because we don't have to pay anything.
Its interesting to see where the money all went after a year of operation. It also helps to see how much it might cost for another year of operation. And, the investor types like seeing official financial records from the government or overpaid certified public accountants.
Things sure don't seem so magical lately. Before when I would write in this journal it seemed much more poetic and profound. Now, its more mundane. Dunno what happened.
