Paul Van Dike is playing down in LA, so I have to go see him. This should be a bit more mild as compared to the SF trip last month, but the DJ is much MUCH better. And the venue kicks some serious booo--tay, so yea. It should be fun.
So whats up lately? Not much. Health food became old recently, so I have been eating like crap. Pizza and Wendies today... I wonder how long this kick is going to continue. Bleeding cash like a wounded soldier too, not good.
I need to get this blog back up and cool again. There was a time when it was fun to write and read this stuff, now it feels like a hassle. Remember the good old days? Where have they been. I wonder.
Its Norway time here at 165 Willow Springs, and we now have three norweigens in the house. All authentic, two here for two weeks and the other is here until June. Great people, cool people in fact. One of them is about 6' 8" or so, which really sucks. Just when I thought I was tall, he has to come along. Sheesh.
Saw the founder of Commision Junction give a talk today about his company. He went through the really early years, the baby years during the internet days and the maturity of the company after that into profitability and finally, its sale. I don't know how much he made on the deal, I think not too much because VC's were involved. If there is one lesson he had, it is to not grow big fast and to steer clear of Venture Capital. Those guys are like sharks, and if you are using it just to throw away the money of usless adds and people that you don't need working at the company, just remeber- that is costing you dearly down the line when you want some $$$$ later.
Not like I have a VC deal on the table, but still. I won't give in to a venture capitalist unless he throws in an island in the Bahamas as well. That would seal it for me.|||107604026469826426|||
