Business?

Scholorships are good, free money. So I am applying for one through CEEM, and will undoubtably get it, if my essay isn't a steaming pile. So I come here to warm up ye old writing skills so that my thoughts can flow from nueron to paper (or screen as it may be) in an orderly fashion.

I think my affair with business started with... or at least that is how I should start my essay, with a story. What stories do I have? What about the time during E3 when I tried to announce Eschaton during the first day when we had nothing that worked. That was awesome. An hour before our conference Jake called and told me that someone had puleed the fire alarm and he was actually outside the hotel, and the elevators were not working! I quickly put together a powerpoint presentation and was ready to go forward with this press conference, but finally got it pushed back. It was just silly, the powerpoint that is. Ahh good times. And when Jake finally did lug in his computer, he was completely delerious and it was clear that almost nothing worked. The planetary zoom kinda worked... that was it. I think there was one reporter in the crowd :)

Hmmm, I think the best I have felt was when I convinced this exec from EA to drive his ass all the way up to Santa Barbara in his Audi from LA. That was awesome, as I ordered a Harvard Business Review article that specifically dealt with convincing people on how to do things. It provided a model so you could set a good frame around whatever you were trying to accomplish, it was GOLDEN. I got off the phone and ran three miles before I even realized that I was running.

He didn't ever talk to us again, but that was a different story. We had barley anything to show and a shithole of an apartment. Can you imagine an EA exec standing in a two bedroom ellwood apartment that has a living room that is also my bedroom and the office? Yea, it was that hot.

Ok, brain is flowing good now, drive on through.
