So I have once again hidden in independent study this quarter here at UCSB. How will this work out? No idea. I have yet to begin negotiations with Murat for a CS degree. Hopefully he can see it my way... or else.

An officer stopped by today and was asking about a girl who used to live in my room. Apparently, this room has quite the stigma. Last weekend, my buddy is hauled off. A month before that, a couple that lived in this room was arrested for stealing people's mail and then signing for it. A word of advice- if you are going to steal a box, DONT SIGN YOUR OWN NAME. Thank you.

Also, if you are going to steal a box, don't have prior convictions. Apparently the girl that lived here has been charged, and convicted of prostitution. Yea thats right. I am living in a old brothel. Regretfully, I haven't really kept it up to snuff around here, its been quite a rough girlfriend transition since I got back from MT. That reminds me, I need to call my girlfriends back in MT.
But one of their numbers is lost forever. How do you ask? I believe that my cell phone has a virus. Numbers are disappearing. Thats right. Instead of a number, now all I have in lots of places in my phone is just a blank spot. Really lame. I looked it up on line, and perhaps I can get somewhere if I take it to the store, but it seems pretty messed up. Too bad, I liked most of the people in my phone, even though I didn't call them that much.

So now I am ramping up my writing skills for the diabetes book. Does anyone out there know how to write a book? I see it as a big task, I wonder where to start. I am trying to put together the organization. I guess I need to start on the website as well. Good thing I am not taking any real classes, now I will actually have time to do cool things that will help people and make me money. Or maybe I should write a compiler assignment that is due today.... nah.

So I guess I can talk about the elections. Pretty lame in my opinion. I voted Libertarian in case you are wondering. That makes me feel good because I was one of the few Libertarian voters, so my vote makes much more of a difference. And hey, we are in CA, not like we are in OH or any cool swing state like that. FL would probably be my state of choice, its sunny there. I mean, if you want news of the election don't come here, this is not what I am about. I feel that political power is way out of my hands. Perhaps if I have lots of money, then I can influence things with lobbying and commercials.

The coolest thing that happened last night? I was introduced to tradesports.com. Wow, cool site, it allows you to bet on anything. My friend made 10% on his money last night. Considering that he only put in 100 bucks that came out to a little over 10, but if someone would have put in 1,000, thats a hundred bucks. And how did he do it? He bought some Bush-Will-Win stock at 87.50 and will cash it in at 100 when Bush takes the throne. At any rate, just checkout the site, it will make sense then.
