Is this really my life?

I ask you. I can't believe this shit. I wake up yesterday, and what is in the nexus? Yes, that is right, the story of yours truly and his partner in crime. The story is entitled "I fought the law, and the law maced me".

Yes my friends, this is the optimy of action/drama here at Lamda Chi Alpha (or what used to be that place, some sorrority lives with us now and calls it Lambda Alpha Chi Omega, some random conjuction of two greek names never meant to be combined). All people are talking about the famed night, and I have colesed it into one mean story, always knocks them dead. I mean this is shit that a stand up comedian could use in New York. Would be better than some of the stuff that I heard in a comedy club when I was out there.

Awesome, simply awesome. I think the best part is where the guy I was with TRIES TO ESCAPE. Yes that is right. The police leave him alone in the interogation room, and what happens? He slips his cuffs over to the front of his body (somehow) and makes a make-shift ladder out of a trash can and two chairs, removes a tile from the ceiling, and tries to climb through the ceciling to saftey. Simply amazing stuff. If we could add in some romance, and let the guy escape so he is a hero we would have the great begininngs of an IV movie. But somehow I doubt that would go big. We would need to add in romantic drama- perhaps a cheating girlfriend? and some more action shit, where the martial arts guy REALLY unleashes some kun-fu on someone's poor ass (besides mine). I'll see if any directors are interested.

I need a book on how to write a book. A meta-book, that is. Or maybe a book on how to write an e-book. Or on how to sell an e-book. I think there is a new market out there that is bigger than most people imagine, that is simply selling information. So called "Infobrokering". Its a combination of writing and then eventually, speaking. You travel around and put together little conferences, sell ridicoulsy priced audio and text material and try and teach people what you know that they don't. I am meeting with someone who sells e-books today after the Real Estate club meeting (which is going to completely TAKE OFF). We will see. I dropped my only "real" class, so I have the time.

So Jake is trying to pull me back into Gnostic Labs. I am still on the fence. Should I go all out? I am leaning to a no, although recently Jake has shown some inititive, which is what he will need if he wants to stick it out on his own. I played the demo yesterday, and that is what pushed me over into the direction of trying to start the game company. Wow. Much, much, much better. The interface is more intuitive, and there is a lot there. The strategic interface needs to be built, but I think that anyone experienced in the game industry can see that there is plenty there to make a game. I always thought that a major problem was that you are confronted with this huge battle, ships with all these different weapons, and ships that you have no idea what should be attacking. (Should the gunship take out the corvette? What kind of shit is that?) But that is a QUALITY problem, because I know a producer will think- awesome.... we can make tons of levels that slowly reveal the depth of this game. So strangely enough, I think that we are to the point where a publisher would actually put $$ into the game, but it has strained me so much that now, its like, I wanna do my own thing. One strong point that Jake had was that the game company CFO position, which is what I would fill, would be an amazing career coming out of college. Imagine me applying to business school and saying- yea, I co-founded a company in one of the most competitive industries out there and got it funded and fiscally sound before I moved on. I could draw a salary and invest it into real estate... shit, I could also invest the game companies money in real estate.

What to do. I guess this is a quality problem as well. I had Tony Robbins explain this to me in his "Edge" series. Everyone has problems... if you didn't, you are six feet under the ground. Then you have no problems. So problems are a sign of life. When a championship wieghtlifter was once asked how he was so strong, he said that everyday he went to the gym and pushed against IMMENSE resistence, and his muslces HAD to grow to meet this resistence.... they EXPAND by DEMAND, he said. In a similar vein, problems are the things in life that you push against, and pushing against this resistence in life is what shapes your very soul.
