Alexander the Great got me thinking about how cool it would be to rule the world. I think it was the attitudes that his crazy mother instilled in him that led him to glory. I mean, if you truly believe yourself to be divine, why can't you lead a small Macedonian army against the known world? And so Alexander becomes a living, worshiped god. Not many people can make that claim. I think even Jesus was only worshiped after his death.... although I might be completely mistaken on that.
Goals are important. I realized, after reading my blog from the first post, that I accomplished my goals. They all revolved around Gnostic Labs, and the funny thing is that after I had attainted my goals I decided to change them. Amazing. But writing them out was certainly critical to their achievement. In a book I am reading called "Influence" there is a section on how people are much more likely to complete goals that are written as opposed to those that are contained in your mind. So write that shit down!
Another amazing factoid that I picked up was that Arnold Swartnexaasdbalh, wow I can't spell that for the life of me, had goals from early on. All of his childhood friends talk about how he said that he wanted to move to America, become a movie star and marry a Kennedy.... all of which he accomplished. Simply amazing. Later on in his life, the producer of the movie "Pumping Iron" said in an interview with the New Yorker that Arnold had a reocurring dream that he was king of the world. Perhaps if that ammendment gets passed and we elect him president he can come close.
In the near future I will be posting goals here that I have for the next couple years. Making money off of a few excellent real estate deals is certainly one of them.
