4/25/2005 01:43:00 PM|||Travis||| My finances are getting a little ridiculous. I have 15 different bank/credit accounts for personal and business and the business ones no longer even have a real company behind them, as I dissolved it last year. Actually, I am in the midst of dissovling it, as it is currently in a paperwork quagmire. I need a team of accountants to hanle all this crap, I feel a bit overworked taking care of all of it.
Bah, but no bother. I just need to close some of them down and consolidate so that I don't lose my ass....ets. I couldn't resist.
I realized yesterday that I haven't written anything of note for almost two years. Oh what glorious fun it was to review my witty little article in the Daily Nexus about student housing. Oh my how fun it was to write those little articles.
Lately I haven't been up to writing much of anything, except for a detailed dramatic saga of a girl that I almost started dating, although she had a current boyfriend, lived with her ex-boyfriend and is what I would consider a pro-level player in the dating game. It lasted over the course of a week and could certainly be adapted to the big screen later on if I so chose. There were several powerful scenes in that episode of Travis's life including the one where I am eating dinner at her house with the ex-ex-boyfriend, only to have the current ex-boyfriend stop by to repay some debt and try and makeup with her, all in front of me (he was a little out of the loop as to why she was breaking up him). Then we all went out for a drink. MY oh my wasn't that good old times....
On a side note, I have been reading a book called "On Directing Film" by David Mamet and it is a nice, short insightful read on directing. It contains some great points on why American Filmaking is particularly bad (mainly because the films just follow the protagainist around) and how to properly think about directing. I really don't know why I started reading it, besides the fact that it was sitting on my friend's shelf. And because films are fun and exciting and I still entertain the notion of being involved with film someday on some vague level.
The sun is shinning here in Santa Barbara.|||111446283658204275|||Why oh why
