So I have finalized my reservations for Los Angeles. I looked around for some good air fare deals and combined a couple low cost cariers to get the best deal. It took a little investigation, but paid off in the end. Missoula has a low cost carrier that takes you to Vegas and then you can take southwest from there, all on the cheap. It turns out to be considerbly cheaper than taking one larger carrier the entire route, ala cheaptickets.com or Orbitz or a company similar to either of those that sell plane tickets.

I will be coming into LA on either the 4th or 5th of Jan. I haven’t determined whether or not I want to stay in Las Vegas for a night. I know an old high school friend there who might want to play around for a night, and the poker tables could be calling my name. It would be a perfect way to kick-off the vacation, even if it will be alone. My brother will be getting in from Hawaii on the 4th however, so I won’t have somewhere to go or someone to pick me up if I decide to fly into LA on the 4th. I also don’t know where to go- Burbank or LAX? Which one is closer to the Hollywood Hills? Surely I will be in touch with some of you LA people soon so we can make plans. I will also be going up to Santa Barbara on either a train or bus to hang out with some people there, and possibly hitup the Old Town Tavern for some good old fashioned Kareoke fun.

I will be there until the 15th of Jan. My birthday is on the 13th of Jan. and we should have something going on in LA that night. It is going to be fabulous.
